Hyaluronan (HA), a component found in Longevinex Advantage™, is likely to prolong the half-life of resveratrol and accompanying molecules and may aid in the targeting of resveratrol to abnormal cells. [Journal Drug Targeting 2008 Feb; 16(2):91-107] Abundant HA receptors on the surface of abnormal cells have an affinity for HA. Thus HA may enhance targeted delivery of natural molecules now under investigation by various researchers. [Current Pharm Biotechnology 2008 Aug; 9(4):253-60] In fact, HA has been demonstrated to aid in the delivery of butyrate, a natural molecule that is similar to resveratrol in structure and function.
